Detectives appeal for witnesses after burglary at Hartley Wintney shop

Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a shop in the High Street in Hartley Wintney was burgled.

At about 1.45am on Thursday, January 5, two offenders broke into the One Stop shop.

It is not yet clear exactly what has been taken, but detectives believe a quantity of cigarettes may have been stolen.

Detective Constable Andy Grieve said: “There may have been motorists passing through on the A30 who may have seen something unusual.

“We believe the offenders made off in a silver-coloured car, so if you saw anything unusual or a silver car in the area at the time, please contact me.”

Detectives also believe the offenders may have links to the Thames Valley area.
