Detectives are appealing for a man who witnessed an assault in Farnborough to come forward.

At about 12.30am on Sunday, January 29, a 17-year-old boy was walking along Wren Way on his way home from a party when he was attacked by three teenagers.

The assault happened as the victim was walking near to Camarthen Close. He was punched in the face and then repeatedly punched and kicked when he fell to the ground.

While this was happening a man who was driving a red Renault Clio car stopped at the side of the road and tried to intervene. However, the attackers then turned on him and he ran back to his car and left the scene.

Detective Sergeant Karen Lillywhite said: “I would really like to speak to the driver of the red Renault Clio as he may have vital information which could help us with our investigation.

“If it was you who stopped to try and help, please contact me as soon as possible.”
