Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after an assault in Farnborough during the early hours of Thursday, January 1.
Between 4.20am and 5am a 24-year-old man and a 19-year-old man were at the playing fields off Moor Road with a group of five friends.
They were approached by an unknown man who assaulted them and then ran off towards Cherrywood Road.
The 19-year-old suffered a stab wound and the 24-year-old was hit on the head with a blunt instrument. They were both taken to Frimley Park Hospital for treatment.
The attacker is described as:
- White
- Between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins tall
- Average build
- Very short hair
- Wearing a light coloured top and jeans
- Carrying a bag
Detective Constable Helen Calton, of Aldershot CID, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone with information about this incident and particularly anyone who saw someone matching the description in the area at the time.
“Although this was an isolated incident it was a serious and unprovoked assault and we are asking for the public to help with our investigation.”
A 17-year-old man has been arrested and bailed in connection with this incident.
