Detectives appeal for information following aggravated burglary in Basingstoke

 Detectives in Basingstoke are appealing for information after a man was assaulted during a burglary in the town.

Shortly before 1am on Sunday, September 25, two men wearing dark-coloured clothing and balaclavas forced entry to a house in Wicklow Close.

They assaulted a 22-year-old man before taking some cash. The victim sustained a cut to his head and bruising to her upper arms and back.

Detective Constable Simon Quickfall said: “I would like to hear from anyone who heard or saw a disturbance in the early hours of Sunday or who has any information about this incident.”
