Detectives appeal for information after man seriously injured on New Year’s Day

Detectives are appealing for information after a man sustained serious injuries after leaving a party on New Year’s Day.

The man - a 25-year-old from Farnborough – left a party in Caswell Close at about 2am on January 1.
He returned to his home address at about 7am with serious head injuries.

It is not known how he sustained these injuries, but a large pool of blood was found outside a house in Carmarthen Close in Farnborough. The victim’s trainers were also found there.

Detective Constable John Gilliland said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw a young man in either the Caswell Close or Carmarthen Close areas of Farnborough in the early hours of New Year’s Day, to contact me.

“The victim sustained serious injuries for which he required hospital treatment but cannot remember what happened to him. He is also missing his phone, cash and house keys.”
