Detectives in Aldershot are appealing for witnesses after an attempted arson in the town on Wednesday, April 1.
At around 4.30am a petrol bomb was thrown through the window of The Lord Campbell pub in Alexandra Road.
However the petrol bomb failed to set alight and nothing caught fire as a result. Four people were evacuated from the pub as a precaution but nobody was injured during the incident.
Detective Inspector Chris Chatterley, of Aldershot CID, said: “This was an unusual and isolated incident that was unprovoked and we are taking it very seriously.
“Fortunately nothing was set on fire but serious harm could have been caused to those inside.
“We would urge anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about it to contact police as soon as possible.”
