Call 101 to report Halloween nuisance
Press Releases
Published:
30/10/2008
Hampshire Constabulary is urging residents to dial 101, Hampshire’s single non-emergency number, if they are being disturbed by flouring, egging or youth nuisance this Halloween.
Only call 999 if someone is injured or life is in danger.
All call takers have direct access to the police control room and will arrange for an officer to be sent if possible. Each district has put additional resources in place, and Special Constables will be out on patrol to give support to their regular colleagues. Using information gathered from last year, officers from the Safer Neighbourhoods teams will focus on local hot spots and take action against persons acting in an anti-social manner.
Hampshire Constabulary is aware that flour bombs, egging and ‘trick or treaters’ are unwanted and distressing to some. People who do not want to be disturbed are urged to display a ‘No Trick or Treat’ poster at their front door.
The poster can be found and printed from the Hampshire Constabulary website.
