Appeal for witnesses following serious injury collision at Segensworth

Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision at Segensworth near Fareham in which a 64-year-old Fareham man was seriously injured.  

The incident happened at around 3.20pm on Sunday when a red Honda X11 motorcycle travelling southbound on Cartwright Drive was in collision with a recumbent tricycle.  

The rider of the tricycle sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham where he remains in a critical but stable condition.   

A section of Cartwright Drive was closed for five hours while police conducted an examination of the scene and recovered the vehicle.  

Senior Investigating Officer, PC David Blake from Fratton Roads Policing Unit, said, "I would ask anyone who saw the collision, or this vehicle travelling along Cartwright Drive, to contact me as soon as possible".
