Published: 29/12/2011

Police are appealing for witnesses after a number of cars were damaged on a garage forecourt in Winchester on the evening of Monday, December 19.

The incident occurred between 10pm and 10.30pm after three to five youths were seen throwing flints at the windows of cars at Winchester Motor Company in St Cross Road. Two cars had damaged windscreens, wing mirrors had been snapped off others and there was some damage to the roofs of other cars.

The three youths are described as:

  • Aged 16 to 21 years old
  • Wearing hooded tops, believed to be grey and black in colour and grey tracksuit bottoms.

PC Glen Willis-Long said: “This incident happened on a quiet night in a quiet area of Winchester so it is possible that the youths were seen or heard walking down St Cross Road before or after the damage was caused.”
