Police at Basingstoke are appealing for information following a break in at a convenience store in Buckskin, Basingstoke last night (February 7).
The incident happened some time between 12.40am and 1.10am at the Co-op shop in Blackdown Close, Buckskin.
Police were called after the shop’s alarm was set off. On arrival the front entrance to the shop had been damaged and entry had been gained. Several packets of cigarettes were stolen from the shop but it is not known at this stage the value of the items taken.
Detective Constable Natalie Stallworthy said: “The shop is in a built-up residential area so it is possible that someone saw or heard something in the area at that time.”
