Members of the Corporate Communications department are based around the force. They use a variety of methods to ensure that the communities of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, including the force’s own employees, are kept well informed about incidents, operations, campaigns and policing in the two counties.
At Police Headquarters in Winchester, a team of Corporate Communications officers deal mostly with forcewide media issues, while each Operational Command Unit (OCU) has its own Corporate Communications manager and/or officer who focus on local issues, incidents and campaigns.
The department is responsible for production of Frontline, the force magazine, and the management of forcewide crime reduction campaigns. The force photographer and media production units are also part of the Corporate Communications department.

Office hours are usually 8am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, with a call-out rota for serious and critical incidents operating outside those times. If you have an urgent media enquiry out of office hours, contact us on 0845 045 4545 and ask for the control room inspector.
Convicted Photograph Indemnity Agreement
This web form should be used by media outlets seeking to publish a photograph of a convicted offender. It replaces a previous hard copy version which had to be faxed to us.
