Inspector Mark Emery leads the Eastleigh District, where the importance of a good policing service is to adapt to the changing needs of its community. This is where our Safer Neighbourhoods Teams (SNTs) play a part. The principal aim of the SNT is to work closely with residents, businesses and partner agencies and through this engagement, identify and resolve local concerns that impact on the quality of life within a neighbourhood.
As well as looking to reduce crime and catch criminals we have a number of other measures which we work hard to achieve. These include our communities knowing who we are and how to contact us with their concerns. A lot of the work of the SNT is to ensure that we are visible, approachable and held to account for our work.
Over the coming months this page along with those of the neighbourhoods will be updated to reflect the work taking place to respond to the concerns of the local community. If you want to make your voice count then please email the team, call them on 101 or attend one of our many beat surgeries detailed on the SNT pages. We are waiting to hear from you.
Neighbourhood Watch is a great scheme that gets people working together to make their communities safer. If you are interested in finding out about existing schemes running in your area or would like to find out about how to set up a new scheme then please visit the Neighbourhood Watch website or contact your Safer Neighbourhoods team.
