Inspector Gary Munt is in charge of policing in Cosham and is committed to making your neighbourhood a safer place to live.
He said: “My pledge to every law abiding citizen living and working in the Cosham sector is to provide you with an excellent service delivered by highly skilled, well trained, and motivated Safer Neighbourhood officers who are dedicated to catching criminals, supporting victims of crime and tackling antisocial behaviour in your area.
"I shall ensure officers are easily identifiable, accessible, and visible to you in the delivery of our services. My officers will promote and encourage you all to become involved and engaged in the communities in which you live and provide a range of forums to ensure your concerns are heard, listened to, and addressed.
"In doing so, I recognise that public support and involvement is key to ensuring we tackle and address those individuals that would seek to undermine community values. So please take every opportunity to attend meetings, speak with your officers or just stop them in the street and let them know how we are doing”.
Community Task and Coordinating Group-how to influence policing priorities
The Community Task and Coordinating Group is made up of key professionals from various organisations and their objective is to work in partnership to resolve local community priorities.
This group works to resolve quality of life issues that impact on the local community and often include anti social behaviour, youth problems, environmental issues and anything else that could have a negative impact on your and your neighbours lives.
As a member of the local community you have a voice and your concerns can be delivered to this group for action. The Community TCG is attended by your local Safer Neighbourhood police team and your local Councillors along with many other partners.
If you have a concern about quality of life issues as an individual or as a group of people then please contact these who will take your concerns to the group and update you of any action agreed.
