Community Tasking Groups (CTGs) meet every four weeks in the four policing areas of the city. The dates of the meetings are below.
The members of the groups consist of police and partner agencies such as the council, fire brigade and other community groups, and they meet to discuss current community issues and how to tackle them.If you would like an issue raised at the meeting please contact your local Safer Neigbourhood team or City Councillor who would be able to represent your views. Below you will find the list of issues that have been identified and are currently being addressed by the CTG in Cosham.

Issues currently being addressed are:
Drayton and Farlington
Providing greater visible policing in the neighbourhood– along with increased patrols, officers aim to interact with members of their local communities through street briefings and beat surgeries.
To reduce the anti-social use of motor vehicles including speeding – Complaints have been received from residents who are reporting people using excessive speed in the Drayton and Farlington area.
To reduce anti-social behaviour in Lindisfarne Close – the team will be concentrating their efforts on reducing problems in Lindisfarne Close, following a spate of incidents involving youths playing football in the close, despite Housing Authority regulations prohibiting football.
Cosham
Reducing cycling in the precinct - the team will be carrying out operations in order to stop this practice. Those who continue to flout the law will recieve an on the spot fixed penalty notice.
Tackling anti-social use of vehicles, including speeding - due to increased levels of vehicle crime, officers will be focussing on the Isle fo Wight estate carrying out both high visibility patrols and plain clothes operations in order to identify and deter offenders.
Reducing burglaries-Hampshire Constabulary are currently engaged in a force wide operation (Nemesis) targeting burglars within the force area. The SNT team is committed to support this operation through high visibility patrolling, public reassurance, information and intelligence gathering, robust targeting of offenders and meaningful engagement with the communities we serve to improve awareness of crime prevention measures.
Paulsgrove
To reduce antisocial behaviour related to underage drinking and drug use - The team will be focussing their efforts on Allaway Avenue shopping parade, Lime Grove and Hillsley
To tackle Speeding Motorists - focus will be on Allaway Avenue and Port Way, where problems are more prevalent.
To provide greater visible policing - With greater presence on Friday evenings in Paulsgrove throughout the neighbourhood
