Inspector Justin BrowneInspector Justin Browne is responsible for the Safer Neighbourhoods teams covering both the Aldershot and Farnborough sectors, having previously worked at Farnborough managing the Targeted Patrol Teams for more than two years.

Inspector Browne has spent all 18 years of his career with Hampshire and has worked in a number of different areas from rural to city centres across the county.

In 2004, Inspector Browne was the project manager for Hampshire's only policing priority area in Leigh Park, Havant. Named the Pride of Place, the project worked with a variety of different agencies, and managed to achieve great success with reducing the fear of crime and raising public confidence within the public services.

Inspector Browne obtained a BA (Hons) in Public Sector Studies from Portsmouth University in 1994.

Inspector Browne is looking forward to working within the Safer Neighbourhoods teams again, as the work is challenging and the teams can really make positive differences with people's quality of life. His aim is to increase the engagement between communities and local services and activities, supporting his belief that everyone can assist in making a big difference to reducing crime, reducing the fear of crime and improving the quality of their lives and that of their neighbours.

What does Safer Neighbourhoods mean for you?

Safer Neighbourhoods ensures you have identifiable, accessible and visible police officers, Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) and Special Constables who work in partnership with other agencies to make your neighbourhoods safer.

It is also about you telling us what your priorities are.  There are lots of ways you can do this – at our beat surgeries, through resident’s meetings, speaking to us on the street, by email or by phone.

Safer Neighbourhoods officers are allocated to neighbourhood teams and there are separate targeted patrol teams who respond to emergency calls and patrol in response to certain issues.

Our performance statistics are published on this website via the link at the bottom of the page, which provides up to date information on how well we are doing.
