The Safer Neighbourhoods Team for Church Crookham is:
PC Caroline Webster and PCSO Adam Merrick.

We are based out of Fleet Police Station.
Locally, we work with your community to find out what matters most where you live. We will work with you and our partner agencies to agree the main priorities for the area and how we will work together to tackle them.
The community priorities for Church Crookham are:
- To tackle anti-social behaviour in and around Ridgeway Parade Shops
- Prevent criminal damage around the Velmead Community Centre area
These are the priorities that people in your local area have agreed with the Safer Neighbourhoods team. You can influence these priorities by contacting your team, attending a meeting or speaking to members of the team when you see them out and about.
Action we have taken in relation to your priorities
You said: To tackle anti-social behaviour in and around Ridgeway Parade Shops
We did:
Reports were being received of youths gathering and causing a nuisance in front of and behind the Parade shops and alleged thefts from the local Co-Op. Advice has been given to local residents to report incidents to police. High visibility patrols will continue to prevent this issue from escalating.
We will confiscate alcohol, advise groups about their noise levels and disperse groups should they be found to be acting in an anti-social manner. We are also working with staff at Co-Op to help combat the issue of shoplifting
Residents have voiced concerns that as nights get lighter, youth nuisance will increase. We can reassure residents that patrols will continue as planned.
You said: Prevent criminal damage around the Velmead Community Centre area
We did:
The area is regularly attended by police and Accredited Community Safety Officers. Reports have been recieved in the past of low level anti-social behaviour and underage drinking. There have been no incidents to report recently at the Community Centre, however this will remain as a priority due to the forthcoming summer months and associated holidays.
As the beat team for Church Crookham we aim to represent our community. If you have any constructive ideas on how you feel this area of concern could be resolved then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team.
