The Safer Neighbourhoods Team for Kempshott is:
PC Richard Harrison (photo coming soon)
He is based out of Basingstoke Police Station.
Locally, we work with your community to find out what matters most where you live. We will work with you and our partner agencies to agree the main priorities for the area and how we will work together to tackle them.
The priorities identified for the beat are:
- Target anti-social behaviour in Down Grange, Old Down Fields and Stratton Park
- Prevent dwelling burglaries in the Pack Lane area
- Engage with the community
These are the priorities that people in your local area have agreed with the Safer Neighbourhoods Team. You can influence these priorities by contacting your team, attending a meeting or speaking to members of the team when you see them out and about.

Numerous patrols are being carried out by officers on a regular basis. On some occasions there have been youths in the area who have been spoken to but are not the ones normally causing any problems. Some alcohol has been confiscated from under 18s. Police patrols will continue in all three parks.
Residents affected by the disruption are advised to continue to report it on 101 or 0845 045 45 45.

How you can take action
Crime prevention advice
We would be happy to come round and visit you and provide crime prevention advice specific to where you live or answer any questions you have by phone or email.
If you have any information about the burglaries and you would like to remain anonymous then you can always make contact with the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
Neighbourhood Watch schemes
We are fortunate in this neighbourhood to have an effective Neighbourhood Watch Scheme and we provide regular updates to the coordinators.
As a reminder, when you go on holiday always inform your Neighbourhood Watch Scheme Coordinator and your neighbours about it. It's always worth informing the station enquiry officer at Basingstoke Police Station about it as well, so I can conduct some extra patrols in the area. I hope that together we will continue to make Kempshott a pleasant area to live in.
How well could you describe your bike?
It only takes a few seconds to steal one, so keep a record of your cycle details, and keep it secure to deter thieves.
- Mark your bike with your postcode and house number
- Keep a note of the bicycle frame number. This will add identification should the cycle be recovered by the police.
- Take a photo of your bike on your mobile or with a camera and store it in a safe place. This will help us return your bike if and when it is recovered.
Please complete the attached Bike Safe form, email it to us and store the details safely.
Beat Surgeries
Come and tell us what is important to you in your neighbourhood, and play your part in setting local priorities.
Beat surgeries are held on Tuesdays at Buckingham Court from 12.30pm until 1.30pm on the following dates:
A beat surgery can be described as an open public meeting were you can pop along at any time and discuss any problems or issue you have regarding your beat. It is also an opportunity to meet us for an informal chat and a tea or coffee.
