Your local priorities

Locally, we work with your community to find out what matters most where you live. We will work with you and our partner agencies to agree the main priorities for the area and how we will work together to tackle them.

Waterlooville North Safer Neighbourhoods top three priorities are:

  • Drug activity in Wecock Farm
  • Anti-social behaviour around London Road shops
  • Thefts from motor vehicles across the beat.

These are the priorities that people in your local area have agreed with the Safer Neighbourhoods team. You can influence these priorities by contacting your team, attending a meeting or speaking to members of the team when you see them out and about.

Action we have taken in relation to your priorities

Burglaries -

Stepped up patrols in the area being targeted. These can be highly visible patrols by cycle, or covert patrols on foot. Varied the team's duties to cater for the relevant time period. Utilised other departments within Hampshire Constabulary, such as the Road Traffic Unit and Dog Handlers. Executed warrants.

  • To reduce criminal damage, violent crime, anti social behaviour and youth nuisance.
  • Provide public reassurance through high visibility patrolling on foot and cycles.
  • Carry out regular licensing visits and deal robustly with any breaches. Seize alcohol from underage drinkers, and target the premises selling to the youths.

  • Increase and build communication with the local community by attending the community board, resident and other community based meetings and Neighbourhood Watch meetings to discuss local issues and gather local intelligence.
