Hampshire Constabulary currently has seven Independent Advisory Groups (IAGs) – six local ones and one for the whole force.
Members of these groups are volunteers coming from all walks of life and are called upon to advise during major investigations, explore community issues and question police practices and policies in a constructive way.
IAGs meet between four and six times a year, but may also be called as specific issues arise.
