TempForce - How to Apply

This page contains all of the required documentation and related guidance for anyone wishing to apply for a post under the TempForce scheme.

To register for TempForce you need to complete an application form. This can be obtained by following the link below. Please ensure that you also download the covering letter, guidance notes, role profile and statement of commitment to equality and diversity. If you would prefer to receive a hard copy of the application pack then please send an email to recruiting.tempforce@hampshire.pnn.police.uk including your name, address and telephone number (in case of any query).

Please ensure that you read the January 2008 update regarding applications on the main TempForce page.

If you have specialist police skills gained through previous experience in the police service then you may wish to consider working as a Temporary Police Staff Investigator. The role profile for this role is below.

If your application form meets the required standard you will be invited to attend an informal interview to discuss your skills and experience and establish the type of work that might be suitable for you. You may also be asked to undertake skills testing to assess your IT knowledge. The interview will also be an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have and make us aware of your preferences in respect of location, hours, type of work etc.

Hampshire Constabulary recognises that the public expects the highest degree of service and integrity. To enable it to meet those expectations it is necessary for us to undertake thorough vetting and reference checks on all applicants before registration on to TempForce can be confirmed. Further information about these checks will be provided if you are invited to interview.
