By offering competitive salaries, flexible working, an unrivalled pension scheme, social events, staff welfare services and great training and development opportunities, Hampshire Constabulary aims to provide all staff with a supportive environment to build a long and secure career.
Hampshire Constabulary prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer; we are committed to encouraging diversity and eradicating any forms of discrimination. Joining us means you’ll be working with a vast mix of people who will offer support and a great team environment for you to progress your career. Working for us means being part of an organisation that is dedicated to preventing crime and protecting people. So if you believe in the values of our organisation, why not apply?
Our ‘Statement of Commitment to Equality and Diversity’ and ‘Religious Needs Policy’ mean that we recognise the importance of staff being able to select other days as religious holidays rather than taking the Christian bank holidays such as Christmas and Easter. Where possible, Hampshire Constabulary will identify a quiet and private place which can be used for the purpose of prayer or meditation. We try to support those staff who choose to fast as part of their religion. This is particularly likely for Muslim staff during the month of Ramadan.
There are so many opportunities for those just starting their career, people with a long career history and all those in between. By looking around our police staff site you may discover a job that could be perfect for you without even realising it! And by joining us, you’re not just taking on a job - you’ll be starting a career as varied and interesting as you want it to be.
To help you understand our recruitment processes, we have published the answers to some frequently asked questions, and we have also given details of some of our conditions of service. You can also get some tips and guidance for interviews.
Hampshire Constabulary also has a comprehensive range of sports and social clubs, which are open to all employees, either police officers or police staff. See the attached document for more information about the benefits of joining one of these clubs (12KB).
The Family Care Co-ordinator is available to provide information and advice to working parents and carers on childcare support and the Force's work life balance oriented initiatives and policies.
