Your Voice Counts FAQs

What happens once I send you my comments?

In line with the National Quality of Service Commitments if you have said you would like to be contacted, you will receive a response within 10 working days.  The response will include, where appropriate, the next stage of your query.

The length of time taken to provide a full answer to your query depends very much on the level of investigation required.  However, in many cases answers are supplied within 14 days of receiving the request, although we do ask for 28 days for the more complicated matters.

Why do you want to record details like my ethnicity and age?

The reason we ask for details such as ethnicity, age, gender and disability status is that we want to ensure that we do not exclude any section of the community. As a service want to engage with all communities and the provision of the data demonstrates this. Equally we want to ensure that we do not exclude any section of the community.  For example if we found over the year that the entries from the website were predominately from persons aged between 16-24 then we would need to look at why.

To reduce excluding any particular section of the community we have gone to some lengths to make submissions to ‘Your Voice Counts’ as simple as possible.  For example the form can also be made available in various languages and formats and it has been checked by the Hampshire Association for the Care of the Blind to ensure that those with sight difficulties can read it.

How else can I submit my comments?

As well as forms being made available in police stations and Citizen Advice Bureau’s there is also a dedicated email address for Your Voice Counts,  that can be used to submit feedback.

Is there anything in particular you are interested to hear about?

Your Voice Counts has been designed to capture all sorts of comments.  However, it is always nice for staff to be recognised for the  job they do so we are keen to hear positive stories of how our staff have made a difference, no matter how small.  Equally, we want to learn from those instances when we didn’t get it right.
