Audible alarms
This type of alarm covers all categories that are not linked to an alarm receiving centre.
These alarms can be installed professionally and are offered by many NSI and SSAIB accredited alarm installers, however equipment can also be purchased from many DIY stalls.
Because these alarms are not linked to an alarm receiving centre the police will only be aware if it is activated when they are informed by a member of the public or if it is discovered by a passing patrol.
Police will only attend an activation if there is some evidence to suggest that a criminal act is taking place.
